I have an issue with the images. Its implying that new masculinity is feminine. It doesn't have to be and they have nothing to do with each other. Theres a serious disconnect with the subject matter and the images taken.
This war on masculinity is a problem. Its "toxic" masculinity that needs to be changed.
That's the media these days so 🤷🏽♂️
What’s wrong with the images? Honestly that jacket P has on is the exact same shape as a royal gown that’s worn by Men. There’s no disconnect between the article and the images either - throughout he talks about clothing not having to be gender specific, and for people not to be boxed in any certain way.
This isn’t anything new - People having been calling P’s clothes gay or feminine since he very first came onto the scene. Whether it was tight t shirts. Fur boots. Pink polo’s. Cowboy hats. Women’s jewellery. Man bags. Eye liner. Whatever other hundreds of things he’s done.
Personally I find it weird to be so closed minded that you (I don’t mean you personally - I’ve seen a lot of comments on twitter) could get offended by someone else’s clothing choices. And also that you could read into the concepts of masculine or feminine based purely on clothes.
P’s been with more women then most men could ever dream of. Yet some believe that wearing clothes that are outside of the norm make him “queer”? That’s a fucked up view to have. But also if he was, who cares?
Based on the headline and the article and the images all I took this “new masculinity” thing to mean was being comfortable in your own skin. That’s it.
WHEN DID YOU BEGIN RECORDING FOR YOUR SECOND ALBUM?
Probably two, three months ago. I'm so in it, I don't even know. Time is a crazy concept. I'm just trying to finish, you know? Last week it was me, Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo making music. I ain't kick it with him since, you know – it's been a minute. I hung out with him and Snoop Dogg, Kid Cudi. But we were working together. I was working with The Neptunes. That shit's everybody's dream. That's probably the most exciting thing that happened to me.
It was fire because the next day, Pharrell had to bounce because he's busy. Then I told Chad to pull up. He pulled up and he was kicking it with me. I was trying to write some of the raps because I had mumbled it and he was trying to figure it out. He would be like "Nah, that's tight,” or, “You sure you trying do it like this?” I had help, you know. It was fire.
