get well soon sounds like it uses "Gotham lead" in logic . I wouldn't say im 100% sure because its kinda buried there but I wanna say it does just considering the fact that a good amount of the instrumentation in sweetener is def logic presets
@Mavis there are 2 "versions" the one hour show and one that is 15 minutes longer... So we didn't get Kites, Secret Life of Tigers, the medley with Get Lucky etc, and they didn't perform Lemon twice.
No I wasn't but he saw me singing the two first songs knowing all the lyrics so he directly asked me to come on stage :D
@MortenMars to be fair, cole did chop up sections of the track and arranged them in a unique way. He may not have added extra elements, but he didn't "just" speed up the track... But I know what you mean, there are levels of complexity when it comes to using samples in a track. This one isn't complex, but I guess I just enjoy the Badu sample (thanks for pointing out where it was from-had never heard it).
I don’t know how this song came to be, but it really reminds me of the early 2000’s when P was on his european influenced shit. Doing features/remixes with Zero 7, Air and Daft Punk, they had that same floaty aimless feel as this
I can see why he agreed to be on it. (Who knows maybe it was even a remake of his original song?)
Really puts into perspective just how much unreleased stuff we have never heard.
Yuhhhh I remember that really old interview where Drew is saying P makes 3 or 4 songs per artist per day. And sometimes he’s working with 4 artists at once. So that could be 16 songs a day he’s making.... that means we’ve only heard a tiny fraction of what he’s actually made. I just hope one day we get to hear everything
When P dies them "unreleased and from the vault" compilations gon be fire
oh when P will be gone, there will be plenty of Christmas material for the next 22 years :)
