Book Club: Men's Edition
#Book Club: Men's Edition
Hello. I sold my tv, cancelled my netflix subscription, and bought a kindle. So trust me, I'm super intellectual now (tips fedora).
Serious now. This topic is inspired from a conversation that went on in the grindin' whatsapp group chat. This particular post will focus on the top 5 books that I think every man should read.
First, why are these my top 5? Because I've read them, they've changed me for the better, and I keep coming back to them. Also because masculinity in the western world right now is in utter fucking shambles, and no I'm not talking about defining masculinity through the opposing role or objectification of women or any other silly shit like that. In fact, if you carry that perspective these books will promptly and ruthlessly shit all over it.
Toss out that men's health, maxim magazine shit and lets get started.
These are really not in any particular order of reading, but I personally recommend starting with the first one listed.
- Way of The Superior Man by David Deida
- The Hero with a Thousand Faces by Joseph Campbell
- She Comes First by Ian Kerner
- King, Warrior, Magician, Lover by Robert Moore, Douglas Gillette
- Mastery by Robert Greene
So those are my top 5. Aint trying to sell you on nothing, just want to help dudes that are concerned with coming better men, better than themselves currently. More fulfilled men = less hating/hateful men = better society = better world. Savvy?
If you have any other books that you think can improve the overall quality of men then please share them below, or even if you just want to debate, that is fine too.
